Knox and I sat on the porch while in Tulsa to watch the sunrise (yes, you're up that early when you have a baby!). I love the pictures...don't so much love the mosquito on his face in the last picture. Hate those things. I'm obviously not a "country girl."

5 months...
So much has changed in one month. We had to practically beg him to sit. He wanted to get down and play, not take pictures. He would only sit still for seconds, wanted his favorite giraffe to keep him company, and did I mention sit? He sits now. Geez.
Some of his favs right now:
peas and rice cereal. Mixed. Video of peas alone soon...priceless.
his giraffe
milk. loves mealtimes.
gracie and bella. can't get enough
his exersaucer
biting his feet
drooling
seeing his reflection in the mirror (can you blame him?)
Are YOU ready for Fall? We are! |
We love him so much! Happy 5 months Knox!!

Tulsa
This past week Knox and I traveled to Tulsa, OK. We were able to stay with my grandmother (Nani) and Aunt Julie. My grandfather passed away a year and a half ago, and I know that time is precious with my Nani. It was such a special thing to see her with Knox. I'll treasure these pictures for a lifetime!

A whole new world...
Knox has been rolling from his stomach to back for a few months now. The other day I put him down for a nap on his back, and when I heard crying not long afterwards I went in to see what the deal was and found him on his stomach!
I brought him out to the living room to see if it was a fluke...it's not. He can definitely roll in both directions now. Pretty soon he's going to figure out how to do it to get across the room. It will be a whole new world for him...and a whole new world for me, too!
*I took the video on my iPhone, so I apologize for the quality!
Knox and Papi
We went to Tulsa this past week, and Knox was able to visit his Great Aunts and his Great Grandmother (pics coming soon!!!). He also loves spending time with his Papi. Here are a few cute pics I took of them playing. Papi always gets a good smile out of the little guy!!

The Jailbreak
Stephen and I ran in the "Jailbreak" race in Roanoke this past weekend. Aunt Kelly came by and watched Knox while we had a little rendezvous with the mud. It was a great time...we'll have to get a group together to do it again next year. Anyone interested??
Before the race...still dry! |

Rice Cereal
We started Knox on rice cereal September 7th (4.5 months). Yes, I'm behind on blogging. He didn't think it was that bad at first...but by the end he wasn't having it. Here's the progression:
No idea what's about to happen... |
He would look at the spoon as it was about to hit his lips. So confused! |
He didn't really have an opinion at first, just wanted to bite his fingers and the spoon at the same time. |
He ate a few bites, so we thought he might actually like it. |
He watched very intently as I scooped more on the spoon. |
Then it hit him. |
He wasn't having anymore of this new gunk. |

Labor Day in Houston
For Labor Day we headed down to Katy (outside of Houston) to visit Stephen's parents. Thankfully, we didn't have too much traffic and the drive with Knox was relatively uneventful. He's such a good baby! :)
When we arrived, Glenda had a little "nursery" set up for Knox in the guest room. He's so spoiled...
We relaxed, shopped, ate way too much food, and enjoyed our time together...by the pool!
There's always a hand in his mouth!
Funny how long and lean he is. His swimsuit is 0-3 months...he's 4 1/2 months old. It's hanging off of him.
He loved laying out in the sun! *No hate mail...he had plenty of sun block on and was in the shade 99% of the time. And it was cloudy. Promise.
He loves his grandpa...
and Mimi.
And then he PASSED out. But not before I could get one last cute pic of my baby boy! He's going to kill me when I put this in his wedding montage...
