Trick-or-Treat

Last Halloween, Knox was just able to play in his exersaucer and was in bed by 7pm.  My how times have changed.  This year (like the last) he went as a pirate.  We planned to meet some of the moms in the neighborhood to trick-or-treat before it got dark.

We got packed up in the wagon and I was able to get ONE picture of him with his hat on...mid-ripping it off.

Once we got to the park and met up with everyone, the "get in, get out" game started.  Knox climbed in and out, and so did all of his friends.

We're so thankful to have such an amazing neighborhood.  One of the things that makes it so much better, for Knox and I specifically, is the mom's group.  The kids get to know each other through playgroups, and the moms get to know each other with outings.  And wine.

We never take mom pics, so we snapped one.  Soon after we thought we'd try with the kids.  We did our best...

Then Knox jumped ship to run around.  He had to stop and have a drink of his milk...and if anyone in proximity is also sipping on something, you have to "Cheers!" with him.  Here he is doing just that with his daddy:

Then the brigade took off!

I documented a few houses, but I wanted to spotlight his FIRST ever trick-or-treating house.  Stephen helped him climb all of the steps, and he very slowly picked his candy from the sweet lady.

Then he caught sight of the dog and was a little sidetracked.

Here are a few others we snapped throughout the night...

Then it got pretty dark, so we headed home to hand out candy to the kids that came by the house.  Stephen and I may or may not have had a little adult bev with us...and Knox may or may not have sampled the leftovers.

And by far his favorite part of the night...riding on daddy's shoulders.  Love those two!

  2. He is the cutest little pirate. We definitely had adult beverages in tow on our outing as well. We've earned it!
